GNL Chile
GNL Chile offers its customers natural gas obtained through the regasification of LNG at the Quintero LNG Terminal, (see www.gnlquintero.cl for further information). LNG purchased by GNL Chile in international markets is taken in specially designed ships to the Quintero LNG Terminal, where it is stored in cryogenic tanks and then regasified using vaporizers with a total capacity of 9.7 million cubic meters of natural gas per day. GNL Quintero S.A., the company that operates the Terminal, provides to GNL Chile services for unloading, storage, regasification and delivery, pursuant to a 20 year terminal use agreement. By 2014 the expansion of the terminal will be operative, allowing an increase of this capacity by 50%. GNL Chile delivers this product to its customers through third-party pipelines. In 2011, the Truck Loading Facility began operation, allowing LNG tanker trucks to be loaded at the Terminal and adding flexibility to customers' gas transportation arrangements. Customers with long term contracts of regasification capacity will be allowed to contract this complementary service.
