Al-Marsad

Al-Marsad | The Arab Centre for Human Rights in the Golan Heights is an independent, not-for-profit international human rights organisation located in Majdal Shams, in the Occupied Syrian Golan. The centre was founded in October 2003 by a group of lawyers and professionals in the fields of law, health, education, journalism and engineering, along with human rights defenders and other interested community members. Al-Marsad is registered with the Israeli Registrar of Non-Profits (Tax ID No. 580424687), and is a member of the OPGAI (Occupied Palestinian and Golan Advocacy Initiative) and Convenio Palestina 2015. Our initiative has drawn thus far on local and individual resources; we commenced work on voluntary basis. We have and continue to establish close ties with a number of human rights organisations in the Occupied Palestinian Territories as well as with numerous international human rights organisations. We believe these relationships are indispensable to our mandate.
