The Bog
THE BOG's irrigation system has been designed and built to withstand 100-year drought conditions. The system consists of two wells which feed a 10 million gallon manmade irrigation lake located near the tees on number 17. A fully-automated network distributes water to over 1,400 irrigation heads, more than double the number of sprinklers used on nearby private courses. THE BOG's extensive practice facility contains over 40,000 square feet of bentgrass teeing ground including a private lesson tee. Golfers will hit to six target greens, several of which are bunkered to create a realistic practice environment. Unique to the practice facility are mounds and a shallow-faced bunkers which allow golfers to practice uphill, downhill and side-hill lies and fairway bunker shots. The practice facility also includes greenside bunkers, chipping areas and a large putting green.
