GOOD+ Foundation

Founded in 2001, Good+Foundation is a leading national nonprofit that works to dismantle multi-generational poverty by pairing tangible goods with innovative services for low-income fathers, mothers and caregivers, creating an upward trajectory for the whole family. We partner with a national network of social service partners to pair goods — such as breast pumps, clothing, cribs and diapers — with programming like financial literacy courses, High School Equivalency diploma preparation, workforce development and more. We expanded upon our focus on mothers and children in 2010 by strengthening support for non-custodial and formerly incarcerated fathers, addressing a root cause of generational poverty: father absence. Today, Good+ supplements donations to programs serving fathers by providing training sessions on father engagement and promoting reform to systems like child support that play a key role in making these donations necessary in the first place. By giving fathers tools, dignity and opportunities to re-engage with their families, mothers are getting more support, children are getting greater access to their fathers and men are learning how to become the dads they want to be. Good+Foundation has offices and warehouses in New York City and Los Angeles and strategically distributed more than $11 million worth of goods across the country in 2020. Last year 92 percent of all expenses went directly back into our programs. Our operations have earned us eight straight 4-star ratings from Charity Navigator (the highest possible), a Guidestar Platinum Seal of Transparency and accreditation by the Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Alliance.
