The GOSB Mosque

Towards the end of 1985, GOSB was established with the aim to stop the pollution caused by the unplanned industrialization around Kocaeli and to keep the industry under control. GOSB is the first Industrial Park that was established without any revenues from the State in Turkey and it has the standards of the industrial parks in developed countries with its modern infrastructure and the services it provides. The total planned area of GOSB is 10.620.000 m2 with 2.300.000 m2 being the first stage, 1.720.000 m2 the extension area, 1.600.000 expansion II and 5.000.000 m2 expansion III. From the very fist day it was established, GOSB has been a center of attraction because of its short distance to qualified manpower and the market. GOSB is located in the north of Trans European Motorway, 7 kms from the center of Gebze and 55 kms from Kadıköy, Istanbul. Sabiha Gökşen Airport is of 15 kms and Port of Derince is 34 kms distance. GOSB is in the center of Marmara Region which makes up 2/3 of the Turkish market.
