For now the shop sells the same items that are offered on Graphene Supermarket, also a brand owned by Graphene Laboratories, but the idea is to keep expanding the range of materials. This is yet another in a series of clever business moves by the company, which has set itself apart from the pack with the introduction of 2D materials other than graphene. The graphene on offer is still one of the cheapest options out there, mainly aimed at scientific researchers. Maximum Materials is owned and operated by Graphene Laboratories, Inc. Graphene Labs was founded in 2009 by a group of experts in the field of nanomaterials, who possess extensive experience in the characterization of structural and electronic properties of 2D materials, as well as deep fundamental and practical knowledge of processing materials. When Graphene Labs was founded, the Graphene Supermarket (http://www.graphene-supermarket.com) was also launched. The market, which specializes in the manufacture and sale of graphene materials, proved highly successful. The website quickly launched to become a global leader in the retail sale of graphene. In 2012, Graphene Laboratories began retailing other 2D materials, significantly expanding the products available on the Graphene Supermarket. They began manufacturing and retailing the 2D forms of molybdenum disulfide (MoS2), tungsten disulfide (WS2), and boron nitride (BN). In early 2013 Maximum Materials was launched to be a one-stop shop for all advanced materials, with the aim to continue the expansion of the product line and corporate growth.
