Graphic Arts Supply
The company was first a part time venture started by Donald Tromble and his wife Trudy out of their home. Donald Tromble had an extensive background in the printing industry. He started cleaning a pre-press shop while he was in high school in 1965. From that position he went to engraving zinc plates for the companies rotary letterpress. Shortly after starting work the company switched to the offset printing process and had an outside company do the printing. He then worked in the typesetting, paste-up, camera and plate departments. The company decided to do printing in house and purchased a Fairchild Color King offset web press. Mr. Tromble moved to that department and learned to run the press. After being promoted to the pressroom manager he also learned how to run the Goss Suburban and Goss Urbanite offset web presses that were later purchased. After a company merger and a change in company management Mr. Tromble left and Graphic Arts Supply became a full time venture. In 1982 Mr. Tromble purchased the current location in Hobart, Indiana. Hobart, Indiana is an ideal distribution center located only 25 miles from Chicago, Illinois and at the junction of the major interstates of I-65, I-94, I-90 and I-80. Graphic Arts Supply now supplies companies locally and nationally with quality graphic arts products. Home
