(Two tier busing is imminent if we are short of drivers) Grass Lake Community Schools is in need of four (4) permanent bus drivers and three (3) substitute drivers for the start of the 2021-2022 school year to avoid a transition to a two-tier busing system that would require two separate bus runs each for the morning and afternoon runs. Currently the district runs a single tier system with Kindergarten through 12th graders riding at the same time on 11 routes. Transitioning to a two-tier system with eight routes due to a shortage of drivers would require an early run with 6th through 12th graders, followed by a later run with Kindergarten through 5th graders. In addition, we need to cover our daily Career Center runs. Pay: $19.56/hour for route driving. $13.51/hour for sports/field trips Hours: 12.5 hours per week (2.5 hours/day) Benefits: Vision Insurance. Take your school-age children with you on routes.
