Green Valley Film Productions
Although Green Valley Film Productions was founded as recent as 2008, over 13 years of video production experience was gained within the multi media company ArtsMagic based in the valleys of South Wales, UK. As one of Britain's top video duplicators, ArtsMagic started producing its own film documentaries by the mid 1990's. After extensive training in all fields of media, Green Valley's MD Kevin Phillips changed his role within the company from Head of Duplication to the company's camera man and editor and started the production of a number of historical and educational programmes. In 2000, Kevin along with a team of multi media staff, worked on the Government funded project Worldwide Wales, an educational website that developed over three years, promoting the Welsh tourism and culture. This included working closely with CADW, the National Trust and museums across the UK to produce numerous educational films for the internet. At end of 2003, Kevin worked with Roy Noble on the film documentary, "The Welsh Miner". Work on a number of animated feature films enabled Kevin to branch out into sound dubbing and re-mastered a new narration from Japanese to English for the movies "Blue Remains", "M@lice Doll" and "A.LI.CE". Production continued on a wide range of programmes which included topics like "The Real Pirates of the Caribbean", "Boudicca, Warrior Princess", "A Tour of the Political Troubled Areas of Belfast", "Kenneth Graham, Whispers in the Willows", "CS Lewis, Chronicling Narnia", "Inside His Dark Materials" featuring interviews with author Philip Pullman and extensive filming in Oxford University. "Jesse James, Outlaw Hero" followed and was our first programme to have been filmed and directed entirely in the USA. By 2006, ArtsMagic with Kevin as chief cameraman and editor produced a series of rock documentaries; "The Beatles Liverpool", "The Beatles London", "The Beatles Hamburg" and "The Story of Queen" which was partly filmed in Prague. In 2007, the production of "John Lennon's New York" took Kevin back to the States as director for the project. Later that year, he returned to New York to film "Bob Dylan's New York" and then went on to Memphis and Nashville for the projects "Elvis' Memphis" and "Beyond Elvis' Memphis". Upon his return to Britain, Kevin continues to work on historical documentaries, creating films with Stratford's Shakespearian Trust and a three part Charles Dickens projects set in London. With the founding of Green Valley Films, Kevin continues to produce high quality, educational, historical and corporate projects in all fields of filmmaking, offering a full service from filming right through to the DVD duplication of the finished project.
