Griffith College

Griffith College

Established in 1974, Griffith College is Ireland's largest independent 3rd level institution with locations in Dublin, Cork and Limerick. The main campus is situated on seven acres within a mile of St. Stephen's Green on Dublin's South Circular Road and we have secured further landmark locations in Cork and Limerick. Our new Cork campus has moved to a new 5.3 acre campus on Wellington Road, Cork City, on the former site of St. Patrick's Hospital and Marymount Hospice. We are currently in the process of renovating the building and will be further extending our range of courses on offer. Griffith College enjoys national and a growing international reputation for student success. The College has gained an enviable, award winning reputation for providing students with first class lectures and excellent study material. Griffith College offers internationally recognised postgraduate and undergraduate degree programmes, complemented by a wide range of professional, short term and corporate training educational solutions - in Griffith College, there is something for everyone. Today there are over 8000 students studying in the College across our locations, which is a designated educational institute of the Higher Education and Training Awards Council (HETAC). The academic year 2013/14 marks an important milestone for Griffith College as we celebrate the 40th anniversary of its founding. During that time, many former students have gone on to distinguished careers in Ireland and internationally, in fields as diverse as accountancy, business, computing, design, law, media, music and drama. Our current students continue this tradition of success - most recently, Griffith College accounted for all five finalists for photographer of the year at the 2013 student media awards, while student Philip Murray achieved first in the world in his ACCA F5 accountancy exams. Distinguished Fellowship Award recipients at Griffith College include Mary McAleese, 8th President of Ireland, and Nobel Laureates Seamus Heaney and John Hume. Griffith College enjoys a strong national and international reputation built on over 30 years of experience. Courses are provided overseas in Pakistan, Russia and China.
