Grove Park School

Grove Park School is a school whose focus is on each individual, their needs and their potential. The school aims to provide, in partnership with the parents and carers, a quality education so that all pupils are able to reach their full potential within a nurturing, secure environment. Our vision is to provide a happy, caring and stimulating learning environment where children can achieve their best according to their ability, so that they can make a positive contribution to society. Grove Park is a 96 place County maintained Special School for children from 3-19 who have complex learning difficulties and autism, which includes moderate, complex, severe, profound or multiple issues. Some of these pupils may also have additional physical and/or sensory impairment. We assess the pupils needs and work forward to provide them with every opportunity to access a broad and balanced curriculum, modified to meet their own unique needs. Each child/student has an individual education plan, and work through the year, across the subject areas, is targeted to promote independence and give them a programme through which they can achieve and learn. All the staff are well trained and experienced in meeting such a range of need, and the school benefits from the regular support of Speech & Language, Physio and Music Therapists together with our School Nurse.
