Arthur Thompson founded Thompson-Hamel 55 years ago in Presque Isle. At the age of 83, he is still advising clients. Today, Brian Hamel and Bryan Thompson lead Thompson Hamel, offering estate planning, investment, insurance and now payroll services with its acquisition of an existing Presque Isle-based payroll firm in 2015. Thompson-Hamel has more than 5,000 clients in Maine and beyond with currently 17 associates working in its Presque Isle and Bangor offices.
