Founded in 2001, Gadsden Schneider & Woodward LLP concentrates its practice in estate planning, trust and estate administration, trust and estate litigation, charitable gift planning and related areas of tax and fiduciary matters. The three founding partners, Chris Gadsden, Pam Schneider and Steve Woodward were joined in 2006 by a fourth partner, Tracy Blake DeVlieger. Kim V. Heyman joined the partnership on January 1, 2014, as Pam Schneider moved to Of Counsel. Three other attorneys, Lisa Rhode Tim Miles and Kate Crary, complete the current complement of the firm's attorneys. Chris is the chair of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel ("ACTEC") Financial Action Task Force Committee, past chair of the ACTEC Professional Responsibility Committee, past chair of the Probate and Trust Law Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association, past co-chair of the National Conference of Lawyers and Corporate Fiduciaries and a former adjunct professor of law at the University of Pennsylvania Law School. Steve is a co-author of the most highly regarded treatise on the Pennsylvania Probate, Estates and Fiduciaries Code and a member of the Pennsylvania Joint State Government Commission Advisory Committee on Decedents' Estates Laws. Tracy was chair of the Estates and Trusts Department at her previous firm and is co-chair of the Estate and Gift Tax Committee of the Income and Transfer Tax Planning Group of the American Bar Association Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section ("ABA RPTE Section"). Prior to concentrating in estate planning and administration, Kim was associated with a law firm that had the largest exempt organizations practice group in New York City, during which time Kim specialized in representing private foundations and other tax-exempt organizations as well as individuals interested in charitable giving and philanthropic planning. Pam is past chair of the ABA RPTE Section, a past member of the Board of Regents of ACTEC, a nationally-known expert on federal estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer taxes and a former adjunct professor in the Masters of Tax program at New York University's School of Law. consultation Concentration of Practice Area.
