Greenwich Township School District
The Greenwich Township School District offers an array of special education programs and services designed to meet the educational and social/emotional needs of our students. Many of our students are educated in general education classrooms with supports and services provided by special education teachers, therapists, and paraprofessionals. We also offer self-contained programs for children who require a structured, small group environment and out-of-district placements for students who require a highly specialized program. Our child study team is comprised of a school psychologist, school social worker, and a learning disabilities teacher-consultant. When considering the needs of a preschool aged child or a child who is communication impaired the child study team expands to include a speech language specialist. This multi-disciplinary team assesses the educational impact of a student's learning, behavioral, social/emotional, and communication functioning. Please view A Guide to the Special Education Process for an overview of the special education procedure employed by the Greenwich Township School District.
