Halme Construction is a Civil Engineering Contractor. We operate in the Spokane, Washington area and the entire Inland Northwest region. Beginning in 1994 Halme started performing earthwork and utility projects on the smallest scale, installing waterlines, sewer lines, septics, etc. for residential projects. With continued dedication to work quality, timely execution and fair pricing, Halme has since completed projects up to $8MM that include installing miles of water transmission mains for the City of Spokane, Combined Sewer Overflow control facilities, earthwork and underground piping for the new Spokane County Regional Wastewater Reclamation Facility, miles of county roadways, several bridges and various other public projects. Halme has also built several subdivisions for private developers. Halme employs up to 50 employees and has annual revenues from $12MM to $15MM. With a fleet of well-maintained equipment, Halme is prepared to take on even the most complex Civil Projects our area has to offer. Halme owns several excavators, dozers, articulating haul trucks, highway trucks including side dump trailers, front end loaders, backhoes, rollers, a grader and a paddle wheel scraper that are the main components of the fleet. Halme continues to be progressive in technology, such as GPS guided equipment controls, project cost tracking systems, equipment costing software, and well established estimating and accounting programs. Halme has also provided 3-D as-built information to customers, giving them exact knowledge of their utility locations, which is helping to bring the construction industry into the 21st century. Halme's project management staff spends a great deal of time and energy on each project performing what in the Civil Industry is termed "Value-Engineering". It is a rare case that a project cannot be built in a more efficient manner, and we aim to find the different ways each project can be built that may provide more value to the owner, which creates a win for all involved. Halme's progressive approach to estimating and project management puts us in a unique position to uncover many opportunities for project owners as we are exposed to cost data, constructability ideas and methods that can, in many situations, bring the same end goal to the owner for much less cost.
