HSI, formed in 1989 to develop innovative water treatment products for measurement and sanitation. 2008- Designed a water quality sensor for potable water, wastewater and seawater applications. 2004- Developed an automated dosing system with an auto-calibrating pH sensor 2000- Formulated a "Non-Corrosive" salt product for bromine generators 1996- Introduced a self-cleaning amperometric bromine sensor using electrochemical pulses to clean the electrodes. 1994- Introduced a self-cleaning bromine generator for Hot Tubs that featured a spinning bipolar electrode to continuously clean scale. 1989- It developed the first "Insitu" electrolytic chlorinator for swimming pools- became the best-selling unit within the first year of introduction.
