Hammond & Irving
Hammond & Irving, Inc. was founded by Charles M. Hammond and Robert M. Irving in 1919. The combination of this expert hammers man and owner of a mill supply business allowed Hammond & Irving Inc. to immediately supply quality product to a strong local customer base. Hammond & Irving, Inc. broke from the tradition of serving only local needs in the early 1920's. As the company continued to expand, larger capacity hammers were acquired to facilitate our entrance into new markets. This expansion from a few small steam hammers to nine hammers that covered a wide range of sizes and shapes ensured the company continued success even during the depression years.
