Handcrafted Car Audio

Handcrafted Car Audio was started in a garage in 2007. Space was tight, neighbors complained, but it turned out to be critical that we get our start that way. Right from the beginning, we learned the importance of excellent customer service because we had no other way of growing than word of mouth. For two years we operated out of this garage, building awesome systems, even better relationships and planning the next step. In 2009, we moved into an 1800 square foot warehouse style facility, our first real shop! Slowly but surely, we made that place our own and used it as a testing grounds for our ideas of how a mobile electronics business should run and present itself to its customers. Some ideas were a hit, while others needed a little polishing, but we never gave up pushing the boundaries, being ourselves, being different. In 2014, after 5 years operating out of that small, hard to find warehouse, we moved into our current 4100 square foot facility facing Arizona Ave. This decision took two years to make. We knew that a move onto a major road like this could change everything, if we let it. But, we were determined that we were simply bringing the revolution above ground, not becoming the typical "main street car audio shop". We kept all of our interactive displays, we decorated the place very similarly and we equipped our installation bays the same way. But we did it all, with little upgrades, keeping an improved customer experience in our minds at all times. We improved upon our waiting area, adding conveniences like free wi-fi, beverages and rental car service. We improved how we care for our customers cars and how we care for our employees. We improved everything about the way we do what we do that affects the most important element of business...people. In our 8 years, we have been blessed with a lot of recognition and validation of our hard work. In 2010, we were named Installer of the Year by Mobile Electronics Magazine and in 2013, we were named Retailer of the Year by the same publication. The awards are earned at the end of a yearly competition amongst all of the businesses and installers in North America which includes industry nominations, voting, and a submission that takes about 30-40 hours to complete which is judged by the magazine! We also write articles for Mobile Electronics Magazine, teach classes at an annual conference and proudly display the MECP certificate that each of our techs has earned. But all of this, is just words, words that are meant to help you see that we are not your average car audio shop. But, in the end, it's what you can see, hear and feel that let's you know what's real.
