Handmade Hammocks is a dynamic rural business based in the Scottish Highlands at GLENMORE near to AVIEMORE in the heart of the CAIRNGORMS NATIONAL PARK. We specialise in hammocks of all shapes and sizes with hammock chairs and the most delicious hammock cushions to match. Handmade Hammocks also produces its own wooden hammock stands made from wood that bears the FSC mark as coming from sustainable sources, as well as a variety of suspension accessories to cover all eventualities. All products are fairtrade - purchased at source on the basis that the workers who produce them earn fair pay and work in clean and healthy working conditions. Most of the fabrics used are woven on handlooms. We are not AMAZON....We are the opposite! We are small scale and ethical. If you buy from us you can be sure you are supporting jobs and the economy of a fragile rural community. We have a warehouse in Kendal on the edge of the English Lake District from where most of our parcels are sent. This is very central to the UK allowing us fast deliveries to the South of England, the Midlands, The North, Wales, Scotland and Ireland. We assemble Hammock Stands in Glenmore near to Aviemore form where they are shipped to you the customer.
