Hargeisa Water Agency

In 1974 the city had an estimated population between 175,000 and 180,000 inhabitants. HWA is an independent water supply utility that is mandated with the supply of water for the city of Hargeisa. It enjoys fiscal and administrative autonomy. Current, it has permanent staff of 329, 100% paid by HWA from its own income. The agency has a Pro-poor tariff structure. footer hwa logo
