HARTFORD PATHOLOGY ASSOCIATES, P.C. is a group of physicians and medical scientists specializing in the laboratory diagnosis of disease through the examination of tissue, body fluids and blood samples. HPA members comprise the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Hartford Hospital (one of the largest tertiary care hospitals in New England), Connecticut Children's Medical Center and MidState Medical Center. Hartford Pathology Associates was formed in 1992. Since then HPA has grown to over 25 specialty-trained specializing in anatomic pathology, cytopathology, hematopathology and clinical pathology. HPA is well recognized for our provision of the highest caliber of pathology services to the community. We strive to increase the quality of all the services we provide, evidenced by the expertise of our physicians, an extensive quality assurance program, on-going medical education for physicians and our training program of 22 residents and fellows. Here at Hartford Pathology Associates, the prompt and accurate handling of your case is our primary concern. We provide pathology services to many hospitals and physicians' offices around the state and we have extensive quality control and quality assurance at all phases of the pathology process. Our facilities are accredited by the College of American Pathologists. Our physicians are Board Certified by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomical Pathology and Clinical Pathology with subspecialties in cytopathology, neuropathology, hematopathology and transfusion medicine.
