HealOr is a clinical-stage specialty biopharmaceutical company developing a first-in-class pipeline of topical therapeutics to treat a variety of skin conditions such as chronic wounds, acute wounds, dry skin, acne, psoriasis, and others. The skin is a complex organ, composed of a variety of cell types in several layers. Therefore, an ideal dermatologic drug should affect the various cell types collectively, rather than treat a single skin component or function. HealOr's research team, drawing on a deep understanding of the molecular mechanisms in skin tissue, has developed an entirely new treatment approach that revolutionizes wound healing and dermatological care. Our multi-Prong approach goes beyond treatment of a specific cell type or function, addressing multiple biochemical pathways simultaneously and enhancing the overall intrinsic properties of the skin. Using our unique approach, we are generating a diverse family of topical dermatological drugs based on peptides and small molecules. HO/03/03, our lead product for the treatment of chronic wounds including Diabetic Foot Ulcers (DFU), Venous Ulcers (VU), and Pressure Ulcers (PU). HO/03/03 is currently undergoing Phase II clinical trials in US and India. In clinical studies to date, HO/03/03 demonstrated unprecedented clinical efficacy, with far superior healing than the standard of care, as well as prevention of wound recurrence. This vastly improved clinical outcome, combined with maximum patient compliance, promises to make this drug candidate the treatment of choice for chronic wound healing. HealOr was founded by Dr. Tennenbaum who is an acknowledged specialist in skin physiology and pathology, gene therapy and PKC signaling. She is the laureate of prestigious awards and grants including the Rothschild fellowship award, Fulbright award, ISF, GIF, ICRF and DKFZ grants and the J&J focus-funding program. Dr. Tennenbaum is the author of over 50 articles in peer review journals in skin research. Dr. Tennenbaum holds an MD from the Hebrew University Hadassah Medical School, Jerusalem, Israel, and a Ph.D in pharmacology and cell biology from the Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Israel. Founded in 2002, HealOr is a privately owned company led by an experienced team of scientists and clinicians specializing in dermatological research, clinical care, and drug development, as well as executive management with a proven track record in business development.
