Mac McSwain, CPA is a partner of McSwain & Hiott CPAs. He has been in the public accounting industry since 1997. Previously, Mac was a staff accountant and later partner of Wilson & Quirk, LLC. Mac believes a CPA should be a close advisor for businesses and not a just someone to prepare tax returns. He also knows that technology can make accounting easier to do and to understand. Using this technology allows the business owner and CPA to timely analyze the businesses' financial health, improve the top and bottom line and plan ahead. Mac graduated from The Citadel in 1997. Mac serves on the Board of Trustees for the Charles Town Montessori School, the SCACPA Accounting Careers/Academic Relations Task Force and is a mentor for the The Citadel Mentor Association. He is also an officer in his local Masonic lodge and a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Charleston, SC. When he is not helping customers and working on his firm, he spends time with his wife, three young children and their cat.
