raoul benavides is a lifelong visual artist and creative entrepreneur who has worked as an editorial photographer, artist agent, film producer, retail shop owner, and even a bug farmer. his mexican immigrant parents were restaurateurs when raoul was growing up, so entrepreneurship has always been on his radar. ghost honey is the first product from raoul’s modern mexican condiment brand, heart soul heat. his grandfather, eleno rodriguez ochoa, loved what he called miel picoso: a sweet and spicy versatile honey sauce that he would drizzle on everything. at first taste, you get bold heat, but this is quickly pushed to the background and your mouth is left with the sweetness of the raw honey; a simple but unique experience.
