At Hernco Fabrication & Services, we realize that we are only as strong as our customers. With this in mind we are continually searching for products that will enable our customers to improve. Many companies now need the capability to measure chemical in smaller increments. The industry norm has been to use a meter that measures in gallons, different systems have evolved to all measurements in smaller increments than this. We have installed and serviced many of these systems, and while in theory the system works, they do not always work in the field. Most of these systems require additional plumbing for the chemical to travel through. Often times inventory can be lost in the additional plumbing. Many of these systems require metering components that work well for water, but chemical will cause the components to stop functioning. We understand how important inventory control is for our customers, and have seen that current methods are not meeting their needs. We have developed a metering system that measures the chemical directly from the chemical tanks. This system is intrinsically safe, and has proven to work with most viscosities. This system has been installed on several trucks, and the drivers and area managers have reported a significant drop in the amount of product lost, and the amount of repairs on the metering system. Another industry concern has been the life expectancy of the pumps. Viking pumps have been an industry standard for many years, but often times are replaced once or twice a year, costing thousands of dollars per pump. Our team has been researching and testing several pumps to find a solution to this problem. We are actively continuing our search for a cost effective alternative that will last years instead of months. In the interim we have helped bring to market a Viking pump alternative that is a fraction of the cost. We are committed to bringing new technology to our customers in order to provide them with a product that enables their continued growth.
