Hill International Trucks

Hill International Trucks has been serving the trucking industry of the Tri-State area for the past 100 years. Founded in Lisbon, Ohio in the 1897 by Oswin Spenser Hill, the company had its beginnings as a farm hardware and equipment store. Oswin's son, Donald, then added the International Truck Franchise in 1939 and dropped the farm equipment lines in 1956. Don's son, Jack, opened the East Liverpool location in 1961 and operated both facilities until 1965, when the Lisbon store was closed. The company was moved to it's present location on 8 acres on the Y & O Road at State Route 170 and State Route 11 in East Liverpool, Ohio in 1971. The Wheeling store at #1-27th Street was added in 1979. In 1997, Hill International Trucks joined Idealease, Navistar's Truck Rental and Leasing operation with the opening of Hill Idealease in Martins Ferry, Ohio. In 2003, Hill International Trucks opened there third store in Washington, PA. The dealerships have been operated by the Hill family now for four generations with Jack's son Steve, serving as President of the Wheeling Store. Hill International Trucks has been a Navistar International Truck dealer for 67 years. Last year, the dealership sold over 1,000 new and used trucks and trailers. Navistar International ranks Number 1 in medium and heavy duty truck registrations. Hill International Trucks Chairman of The Board, Jack Hill, was one of 53 of the 450 International dealerships in the USA to win Navistar's prestigious Circle of Excellence in 2005. This award is based on outstanding market share and a commitment to excellence in customer satisfaction. Hill attributes the success to his 170 partners at the three stores. We refer to our employees as partners because we have been a profit sharing company since 1983. Our partners work together to serve our customer's total transportation wants and needs better than the competition. Hill International Trucks backs all their equipment with a service department open from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 a.m., Monday through Friday.
