HJD Capital Electric, Inc. was as founded in 1994 by owner Henry Davila, Master Electrician, as a full service electrical company. Through many years of work serving the San Antonio, Texas community, Mr. Davila was able to grow the company adding employees and equipment as the demand for electrical services grew. In 2002, Mr. Davila obtained the Small Business Administration 8a classification for the company which provided new government contracting opportunities through the numerous Department of Defense Installations in San Antonio, Texas. One of the early opportunities was providing electrical services to the Audie Murphy Veterans Administration Hospital in San Antonio. Working for the VA had many demands and opportunities and Mr. Davila saw these opportunities as a chance to grow the company and add general construction to the company's repertoire of services. The mark of success for expanding the company's services was continual general construction and electrical services at the Audie Murphy Hospital for over nine years. After certification by the SBA as an 8a company, CAPITAL also expanded services to other department of the DoD, winning Multiple Award Construction Contract for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Texas Air Nation Guard. Under these contracts, CAPITAL won numerous multi-million dollar task orders such as the Installation Management Command Campus Area Development at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, Medical Education Training Command Campus Integration Plan at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, and the Infantry Platoon Battle Course at Orogrande, New Mexico. CAPITAL has also expanded market services and has been awarded construction and electrical contracts at Lackland AFB, Randolph AFB, Camp Bullis, Camp Mabry, and Fort Hood. CAPITAL has won numerous single source contract awards at these facilities for projects ranging from construction of a F16 Flight Simulator facility to an ID/IQ contract providing full electrical services for above ground and underground electrical construction. In early 2013, HJD Capital Electric, Inc. recognized potential branding categorization with the company name. The name HJD Capital Electric, Inc, could be recognized as a purely electrical company and limit our opportunities. In response to potential name recognition limitation, the company created two separate divisions, CAPITAL Construction and CAPITAL Electric. To date, public and government sector response has been well received. Today, CAPITAL is a thriving company with the staffing, resources, and capabilities to manage projects valued over $30 million on an annual basis and has a bonding capacity of $70 million which can easily be increased should contract or task order awards requirements increase. CAPITAL provides electrical, mechanical, general construction and construction management services in addition to continued service and mmaintinance. Employing a workforce of more than 120+ full-time permanent professionals and a fleet of equipment (yellow iron), CAPITAL has the resources and expertise to staff the key construction personnel positions necessary to guarantee the success of projects including equally qualified alternates for each key position which is a component of CAPITAL's contingency management plan.
