Harvest Mission Community Church
Harvest Mission Community Church has always been committed to the mission of transforming lost people into Christ's disciples who will then transform the world. It was this experience of Jesus Christ and desire to reach the world that birthed HMCC of Chicago as the first church plant out of HMCC of Ann Arbor in 2006. From the beginning, this was a church with a heart for the campus and the city, and it was built upon the prayers, sacrifice, and servanthood of many people who invested in this local body of Christ. Over the years, God has worked in many ways through HMCC of Chicago. New believers have come to know Jesus, many people have been baptized as committed followers of Christ, leaders have been raised up, missions teams have been sent out, and the church has partnered with other churches and organizations to serve and love the city of Chicago. For all of this, we praise God for His faithfulness and goodness, and we are thankful for many brothers and sisters in Christ who have given of themselves to be part of the Lord's work. Due to leadership transitions and struggles in the church in recent years, this season of ministry at HMCC of Chicago has come to an end as of June 7, 2015. While local churches come and go, we hold onto Jesus' promise that he will build his church, and we believe that the seeds planted in and through HMCC of Chicago will bear fruit for many years to come. We continue to pray for the city of Chicago and know that Jesus' work here is not yet complete. He is present in the campuses and neighborhoods of the city and will faithfully lead his people forward as their Good Shepherd.
