While bookings made through HOLIDAY-CHATEAU.COM are made with the owner of the property concerned and your contract for rental is with them, HOLIDAY-CHATEAU.COM processes the bookings and credit card payments on the owner?s behalf. As soon as your booking is confirmed you will be emailed the full contact details of the property owner that you have booked with. By booking through HOLIDAY-CHATEAU.COM therefore, you can enjoy a peace of mind that you would not have if you were to find the property on most owner direct internet portals (or in a classified newspaper advertisement), because: 1. You will not become a victim of an internet scam. We NEVER allow people to upload properties or property details directly onto our portal. We vet our properties to make sure they exist (yes, that is necessary!), as well as finding out how long they have been renting them out for. 2. We provide far more detailed information than is provided on other internet portals. 3. Unlike agencies, we allow you to contact the owner directly by email so that any further queries you may have are answered by the person who actually owns it, rather than via an intermediary. 4. We have a contractual agreement with our owners that is governed by UK law and subject to UK jurisdiction. We require them to warrant to us as part of our agreement with them that the details, text and images they supply to us present a true and accurate picture of their properties and services. 5. We take secure, encrypted credit/debit card payments only. 6. We investigate all complaints against an owner or property.
