Holze Music
Holze Music Company was established in 1937, and celebrated its 68th anniversary 2005. Rob has been working for the company 28 years. After graduating from Baylor with a degree in Music Education, Rob was a band director in Waco schools for several years before coming to work at the store. In 1977, he became manager of the band and orchestra department of Holze Music. Rob has owned the company since 1991. Rob, heavily involved in music and arts advocacy, has served on the board of directors of the National Association of Music Merchants. He also co-founded the Central Texas Coalition for Music Education. In addition he is the president of the board of directors of the Waco Hippodrome Theater, a vice president of the Waco Symphony, and president of the Greater Waco Council for the Arts. Rob also served as an adjunct professor in the Baylor School of Entrepreneurship in the Fast-Track program, guiding individuals who want to start their own businesses through the steps of a feasibility study. Rob is married to Susan, who appropriately met Rob in the Baylor Band and is his most trusted advisor. Their son, Kyle, is a graduate of Baylor and is the first, second generation band director to graduate from the university. He currently is a band director in Southlake Carroll ISD. Rob believes firmly that the success of Holze Music Company is tied to his strong management team which includes, Karen Davies, CFO, Chuck Lambert vice president in charge of inventory, and Greg Tivis, vice president of operations. Local musicians, school music programs, and area arts organizations know they have a strong advocate and supporter in Holze Music Company.
