Home Hospice Association is a Canadian non-profit that provides support to anyone facing a life-limiting illness with a choice of resources, care, and support so they may die well and in peace. We bel...ieve dying is a communal and spiritual event — no one should die alone and in distress. We empower families and loved ones with knowledge so they may be empowered and supported through the end of life journey and comforted as they grieve. Working closely with local agencies and municipalities all over the province, we offer many services, from Hospice at Home to Canada’s only pre and peri-natal hospice support, to grief programs aimed at normalizing death for children, teens, and adults. These programs are conducted by trained professionals who understand the unique challenges, fears, and uncertainties surrounding death. Home Hospice Association was incorporated in September 2014 and achieved Charitable Status in April 2016. Our Mission To destigmatize death and dying and facilitate the emotional, spiritual, and physical well-being of a person facing death at every stage of the end of life journey, while educating, supporting, and providing compassionate comfort to families and loved ones. Our Vision To provide end-of-life care, when there is no medical cure, to anyone, regardless of age, at any stage of the dying process, in any place that will provide safety and comfort to the dying person.
