Hometown Seafoods is a family owned and operated business that has been in Andover for about 15 years. Gene Marshall, who started Hometown has been in the seafood business for 40 years, living and working on the Gloucester waterfront. Relationships developed in the industry previous to purchasing this retail store allow you to be the beneficiary of the freshest fish available anywhere. Gene purchases the fish daily in both Gloucester and Boston and cuts it right at the store. Hometown carries a huge selection of all types of seafood, including lobsters, steamers and assorted shellfish, scallops, shrimp, and many seasonally available items such as shad roe, soft-shell crabs, smelt, mackerel, striped bass, and bluefish, again, only the freshest available. Since 1993 Gene has been joined by his wife Debbie, and his son Gene Jr., both providing management assistance. If it's seafood or seafood related you will find it at Hometown Seafoods. In the event that it isn't available we will go overboard to find it for you. Hometown also carries a full line of prepared entrees (both fresh & frozen), or you may want to try one of their many assorted salad dishes. Other suggestions are the side items such as rice pilaf or stuffed potatoes made fresh at the store for your convenience. Hometown carries a large selection of seafood grilling tools and utensils and has a fabulous collection of marinades, sauces, rubs, and just about everything you could ever need for a supremely delicious and healthy seafood meal. Hometown also has a restaurant for eat-in or take-out and serves daily lunch specials from 11 AM to 2 PM. A copy of the menu is available on this site and you can be assured that all our fried and prepared food is equally as fresh as our fresh fish. We carry an extensive line of Fresh Native and Imported Seafoods purchased daily in Gloucester and Boston by ourselves then we cut it right on the premises.
