HONOR FOODS
Honor Foods was founded in 1949 as a redistributor of center-of-the-plate foods based in Philadelphia, PA. The company has since grown into the region's premier provider of grocery, frozen and dairy products, representing more than 275 brand-name food suppliers and carrying more than 2,500 items in stock. In addition, their exclusive house brands - Colony Lane, Valley Fresh, St. Honorine and Misty Harbor - have a well-earned reputation for top quality and value at a very competitive price. Honor Foods also offers superior customer service, customized reporting and distribution channel troubleshooting. In 2007, Burris Logistics acquired Honor Foods. Even though the Logistics business is different, Burris works with many of the same vendors and now both companies are able to leverage their existing relationships, strengthen strategic partnerships, and improve purchasing positions. In 2009 Honor and Burris Logistics added a new specialty dairy division by joining N. Winer and Son, of Springfield Massachusetts to the Burris family, thus adding a second located to Honor Foods' facilities and helping the company better serve the east coast. Burris is one of the largest temperature-controlled logistics companies on the East Coast with facilities serving America coast to coast.
