Forbach Stables

The Forbach Stables is based in the north of Mauritius in the region of Rivere du Rempart, about 15min from Grand Baie and 30min from Port Louis by car. We are located in a quiet area surrounded by agricultural land, mainly sugar cane, making The Forbach Stables a very relaxing place to spend time and enjoy horse riding. The Forbach Stables is a friendly, family run, yard managed by Carla Ramanah and her team; welcoming everyone from new riders to those who are more advanced. We offer horse riding lessons, hacks & horseback trails around Mauritius' infamous sugarcane plantations and horse riding on the beautiful beaches of Mauritius as well as an array of competitions and activities throughout the year. At the heart of everything we do is the wellbeing of our horses and yourselves as riders. The Forbach Stables is an approved home for retired race horses, approved by The Mauritius Turf Club retired racehorse committee. Horse riding is both great fun and great exercise for people of all ages, we cater for everyone and we are open for your enjoyment 6 days a week.
