In 1967, what would later become Horton, Lee, Burnett, Peacock, Cleveland, & Grainger, was established by two founding partners, Cooper Horton, Jr. and H.B. Lee, Jr. These men shared a dream of developing a prominent accounting firm, one distinguished in the Birmingham business community for its excellence in technical knowledge and client service. With a solid beginning and a steady growth rate, Horton and Lee were quickly able to add partners Lamar Peacock, Grover Cleveland, and Thomas Grainger. In subsequent years, and as a result of our steady growth rate, the firm was able to add partners H.B. Lee III, Patricia Oh and Brian Burnett- all Certified Public Accounts who shared their vision of excellence. With professional and support staff members, HLB has become one of the top level CPA firms in Birmingham, Alabama.
