Hostel Trail

HostelTrail Popayan was opened in July 2007 to offer travellers a comfortable and convenient base to explore the city and it's breathtaking surroundings. Having travelled fairly extensively in Colombia and neighbouring Ecuador, we immediately saw the attraction of Popayan as a tourist destination. The spectacular location, beautifully preserved colonial centre, friendly people and extensive selection of activities in the surrounding area, won us over immediately. We began by inviting travellers to stay with us in our five bedroom hostel in the Historic centre and have been lucky enough to have had the opportunity to expand over the past two years to our current capacity of 35 people in 14 rooms. We offer lots of information about the region, social space to meet other travellers, clean and comfortable rooms and all of the facilities that we, as travellers ourselves, would look for!
