Founded in Winchester in 1994, Hotel du Vin has now grown to a group of 10 individual hotels, located in Birmingham, Brighton, Bristol, Cambridge, Cheltenham, Glasgow, Harrogate, Henley-upon-Thames, Tunbridge Wells and Winchester, with further properties opening soon in York, Poole, Edinburgh and Newcastle. Hotel du Vin Ltd was acquired by Marylebone Warwick Balfour in October 2004. MWB is a public company quoted on the London Stock Exchange, and also owns the Malmaison Group of hotels. Robert Cook took over the role of Chief Executive of both Hotel du Vin Ltd and Malmaison in October 2004.
