Hughes Studio Architects

Hughes Studio Architects was created in 1995 by Cheryl Hughes. Our work is comprised largely of custom single family residences including remodels and additions. The design process is tailored to each project according the interests and abilities of the client, project team and requirements of the site. Rather than adhering to a particular style, the design of every project strives to be an expression of its place and the values of people who built it. The firm is intentionally small to foster personal attention to each project. The firm's goal is to continue to create work with a long-term view in scale, construction, energy, comfort, clarity and delight. Cheryl was raised in the Pacific Northwest. Following graduation from the University of Oregon, she practiced architecture for many years in London and New York City.
