The high-capacity, high tech factory of HMMC started production in November 2008. HMMCemploys 3,300 people and has a capacity for up to 1,500 cars per day or more than 300,000 per year. Last year, the plant celebrated the production of its three millionth car - a Hyundai i30 N. It also recently celebrated the completion of its one millionth Tucson. Cars from HMMC are distributed to more than 70 countries on five continents. In addition to the new i30 hatchback, fastback and wagon, HMMC also produces the Kona Electric, the i30 N, and Tucson. The full lineup is less than two years old.
