iBrattleboro.com was founded in February, 2003 to fill a need in the community for greater coverage of local news and opinion. Founders Lise LePage and Christopher Grotke envisioned the site as a place where regular people could contribute news, opinion, and much more, for the edification and amusement of their fellows. A decade later, iBrattleboro.com had over 46 million page views, 22,000 stories, 103,000 comments, 9,300 events, and 475 polls with 32,101 poll responses when the site switched to the newer design. iBrattleboro has no staff reporters. Everything you see here is contributed by people who care about Brattleboro and the surrounding region. Anyone can get a free user account and add stories, comments, and other useful information.
