They are graduates of the world's leading institutes and are well-connected in corporate, startup, tech and education space across Pakistan. This is their story. It began in late 2015 when Aneeqa Ishaq and Uzair Sukhera returned to Pakistan after studying and living in the United States for almost five years. In their absence, Pakistan has changed significantly: startups, incubators and entrepreneurs were sprouting, growing, and making an impact, e-commerce was becoming increasingly mainstream, smartphone adoption and the launch of 3G/4G dramatically changed the products landscape. Yet, they noticed that as consumers were changing, the products and services they consumed were stuck firmly in the past. These User Experience gaps ranged from fashion boutiques refusing to issue refunds for misfit clothes, banks closing a branch early without informing customers on their website, to telecom companies requiring customers to jump through several hoops to convert to their platform. They saw incredible opportunities to win millions of customers by focusing on their experience. Aneeqa and Uzair have worked with several startups and corporations in Pakistan offering their services in Customer Experience and System Design. Aneeqa also initiated a User Experience and Design Thinking Special Interest Group with OPEN Islamabad, besides co-teaching at NUST Business School in Product Design and Development course. With the aim to uplift the Customer Experience across Pakistan by working directly with organizations large and small, Aneeqa, Uzair and Umair formally started IDEATE - a boutique design and innovation consulting firm with Design Thinking at its core foundation. Today, IDEATE offers bespoke services to select clients across Pakistan, and is growing fast. The team, in collaboration with forward-thinking clients, has already created a large impact, and is poised to forever change the customer experience landscape in the country. Vision
