My name is Jonathan C. W. Jones and I am the Founder and CEO of SCJ Consulting, LLC, now doing business as Ideation4. I have worked in the field of education for over 25 years as an educational aid, special education teacher, instructional coach and administrator. I am an educator and social entrepreneur focused on empowering people to voice their ideas, tell their story and secure resources to do Good for their communities. As an educator I experienced first hand a variety of inequalities in my classrooms, schools and school districts. I began researching grants to see if I could meet the needs of classroom supplies and materials to implement innovative ideas that would keep students engaged and achieving. As my grant award portfolio began to grow I started to provide professional development training for my peers so that they could address similar needs. Educators spend an average of $740 a year on classroom supplies & materials, according to a recent report by National Center for Educational Statistics. 94% of teachers spend their own money for students. About 8% of funding goes to organizations led by and for people of color. "To increase the number of people of color leaders, those who oversee organizations need to recognize and take responsibility for addressing the racial leadership gap." - Race To Lead: Ideation4 is addressing inequalities in funding opportunities which limit organization to do Good in their respective communities. We are interested in empowering across the sectors of education, philanthropy and nonprofits as they all have parallel inequalities. Because the traditional forms of economic resources for education and nonprofits needs an upgrade. Exploring economic opportunities for under resourced communities through proposal workshops, coaching, consulting and innovation. Guiding communities one workshop, one proposal and one idea at a time.
