Independent Fabrication was formed in 1995 by a group of experienced bike builders who wanted to start their ideal, employee owned and operated cycle frame company. Today the Somerville, MA. corporation made up of like-minded and dedicated individuals form a talented team who draw on experience at legendary firms such as Fat City Cycles and Merlin Metalworks and produce arguably the most desirable bike frames in the world. IF has grown steadily every year by expanding their range of product on offer and have constantly improved all that they do. Their goal is to make the best frames in the world and to strive hard to achieve that goal every day by selecting only the best materials and improving the processes by which those frames are made.
