Ifema

IFEMA is one of Madrid's major pillars of business and a leader in the international fair and congress industry. Since its creation in 1980, IFEMA, a consortium created by the Madrid City Council, the Community of Madrid, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Montemadrid Foundation, has played an important role as a driver of the economy and business activity, generating wealth in its environment and promoting the Madrid brand and, by extension, the Spain brand, internationally. IFEMA hosts more than 800 events in all sectors every year, in addition to having a portfolio of about 100 specialised fairs and conferences that support the main sectors of the economy. IFEMA's driving commitment is to generate wealth, development and international promotion for the city of Madrid, as well as to boost business activity. Throughout its history, 100 million visitors and around 760,000 companies have participated in the 2,100 fairs organised by the institution, which have generated EUR 20 billion in terms of economic impact in the Community of Madrid.
