Illini Mattress Company, Inc. was founded in 1990 by Ed Stout, who continues to serve as our President. He was born and raised in Champaign, and he still works in the store daily, along with his wife, Jan, their two children, Kristin and Michael, and a family friend, Richard Witt. Ed first became involved in the bedding industry in the early 1970's while working with his brother. Beginning as a factory direct store making our own brand of mattresses, Illini Mattress has now evolved to meet the demands of more diversified customers. While continuing to manufacture custom/antique sizes, crib mattresses, and specialty items, we proudly carry many of the best brand name mattress in our industry, including Tempur-Pedic, Sealy, Sealy Posturepedic, Stearns & Foster, Dreamhaven, Paula Deen by Serta, and iComfort by Serta. We also offer electric adjustable bases, futon mattresses and covers, waterbed replacement items, a great selection of pillows, sheets, mattress pads, and headboards, as well as bedroom furniture.
