IAHS is actively involved in the development of aromatic, non-aromatic and salt tolerant hybrids in rice. The rice hybrids are highly productive and will help increase yields in salt affected areas also. IAHS has developed cotton hybrids that are tolerant to sucking pests thereby reducing the need for repeated pesticide sprays.
