Independence Lumber Inc. is located in the Appalachian mountains of Southwest Virginia. We are one the largest, single location, lumber companies in the Southeastern region of the country. Owner/President Randall Eller established Independence Lumber Inc. in 1984, after working in the sawmilling business since 1976. Mr. Eller owned and operated a sawmill in North Carolina until he found the current location for Independence Lumber Inc. Independence, Virginia in Grayson County is nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, where some of the best hardwoods in the country are grown. Independence Lumber manufacturers all grades of lumber, including furniture grade and flooring oaks. We kiln dry all types of hardwoods as well as Eastern White Pine, to fit the consumers needs, plus producing pallets and pallet stock. We focus on being green and utilizing all waste products produced including sawdust, chips, firewood and mulch. Species produced include Poplar, Red & White oak, Hard & Soft Maple, Ash, Birch, Cherry, Hickory, Walnut and Eastern White Pine. We have the capacity to manufacturer and sort products to meet your specific domestic or export needs. We export worldwide and are always working to give you top quality for your current market. Independence Lumber Inc. operates forestry and harvesting operations spread out over Southwest Virginia and Northern North Carolina. This allows us to control the quantity and quality of logs coming into the mill and to give our customers a consistent and uniform product through our state of the art sawmill and dry kiln operations.
