Indongo Toyota and Hino is a leading automotive retailer in Namibia, which has built its reputation by focusing on customer service. The Frans Indongo Group, an impressive Namibian group, that was founded by the legendary Dr. Frans Aupa Indongo, has taken a large share of the Toyota business in Namibia. The company focuses to attract, look after and retain customers. The Company's business strength lies in its knowledge of the local market, the Toyota and Hino brands and the good reputation it has built over time. Indongo Toyota currently consists of 6 branches, namely Windhoek, Walvis Bay, Okahandja , Otjiwarongo, Ongwediva and Hino. The Toyota dealership in Walvis Bay was the first Toyota dealership purchased by the Frans Indongo Group in 2005. It was purchased from Solcom Motors (Pty) Ltd. and is now trading as Indongo Toyota Walvis Bay. Through the success of this operation, the Indongo Group looked to expand its operations with the Toyota brand. The Toyota and Hino operations in Windhoek and Okahandja became part of the Indongo Group in October 2012, when the Group bought out the interests from the family business, Ritter's (Pty) Ltd. Ritter's was a well-known Namibian business, which came into existence in 1928 and had been successfully run by the Ritter family through a number of generations. Since 1989 Ritter's was associated with the Toyota brand and gave customers another dealership choice of the world famous brand, now the No.1 vehicle brand in the world. Ritter's had another outlet in Okahandja, which was awarded the Hino truck franchise. With the buyout of Ritter's (Pty) Ltd, the Hino truck brand became part of the Indongo Group. Due to the high demand of trucks from the capital city, where most big operators are, the Hino operation is run from Windhoek. Since then the facilities in Okahandja were converted to a fully-fledged Toyota dealership in 2013.
