Inklings is Staples High School's eighty-one year-old scholastic news source- representing a journalistic tradition that is alive and well in Westport, Connecticut. Inklings has, throughout its history, been a publication that is written, edited and published by students, with the objective of expanding the boundaries of scholastic journalism. Inklings Online pursues this goal with the additional elements of multimedia, social media integration, and constant updates. Inklings Online encourages Letters to the Editor, and all Letters to the Editors must be signed. Inklings Online also encourages comments, but please keep them appropriate and to the point; Inklings Online reserves the right to not approve comments due to content or language. Inklings editorials are written by the editorial board comprised staff members. Westport, CT is a suburban community with a population of 25,000. Staples High School, originally built in 1884, currently has an enrollment of 1800 students. All athletic teams participate in the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference.
