Inmobiliaria Colonial

Inmobiliaria Colonial was founded in December 1946 by Banco Hispano Colonial, a financial institution that had played an important role in Spain's economic history. The company was incorporated to manage Banco Hispano Colonial's extensive land holdings, as well as the property holdings of other financial institutions and private individuals. In the golden age of construction which began in the 1960s, Inmobiliaria Colonial developed an innovative large-scale project known as Barcelona 2, which involved the construction of more than 1,000 homes and business premises for rental. The project had a major impact on property trends in the area, which is now considered one of the most exclusive prime property rental and office locations in the central business district (CBD). In the 1970s and 80s Inmobiliaria Colonial further consolidated its position in the Spanish property market.
